Three crew have jumped to safety from a Liberian-flagged chemical carrier seized in the Gulf of Aden by pirates.
The men leapt into the sea from the 27,400-dwt Biscaglia (built 1986), a former D’Amico tanker owned by Winged Foot Shipping of the Marshall Islands and operated by Ishima of Singapore.
Five pirates on fishing boats had attacked the ship, the commander of a nearby French frigate told AFP.
