Stowaway repatriation

Someone said “Once you’ve got ‘em, how do you get rid of ‘em?”

This is rather harsh but stowaways are, in today’s uncertain world, a serious problem. It is therefore essential that, once they are detected on board, immediate action is taken to secure them, identify them and activate a plan for their early and controlled departure to their homeland. It might seem to be an easy task but nothing could be so far from reality! What do you do with a man who has no passport, no I.D., barely speaks (or not at all) any English or any common European language? A man who is clearly frightened and desperate not to be sent back to his country of origin? His disembarkation can turn out to be a very heavy and difficult task indeed.

We provide all necessary assistance to the ship owners and their P&I Association in respect of stowaway matters. Not only we propose economical solutions to disembark stowaways at lowest possible costs and with less trouble possible but also offer continued up dating on ways and means stowaways do seek they way through to the ships and places they use to hide.

We will arrange all liaison with the authorities, documentation and transfer by air with security personnel (if required) for the repatriation of Stowaways according to the requirements of the Local Authorities. In this respect, we offer agency services too in several countries and ensure to keep all costs down.

In some countries where we do attend, ships can most of the time avoid to enter ports and stowaways' disembarkment can be done on roads, by means of launch hired to this effect. Such operation rarely takes more than 2 hours if it has properly been prepared in advance.

Please feel free to contact us for any question you may have or for any advice you may seek.
